Always confirm that the product selected is consistent with the original equipment manufacturer’s recommendation for the equipment operating conditions and customer’s maintenance practices. Product description SRI Grease NLGI 2 is a high performance high temperature roller and ball bearing grease suitable for use in severe applications such as field operations, where electric motors require robust protection from oxidation, rust and corrosion. SRI Grease NLGI 2 is formulated with highly refined base stocks and an ashless organic polyurea thickener in combination with reliable oxidation and rust inhibitors. It has a smooth, buttery texture and is dark green in colour. Customer benefits • Offers protection to ball, needle and roller bearings operating at speeds in the region of 10,000 rpm • Promotes wide temperature bearing protection at operating temperatures ranging from -29°C to +177°C • Contributes reliable oxidation resistance at operating temperatures in the range of +93°C to +177°C • Aids reliable rust protection as defined by ASTM D1743-73 with 5% Synthetic Sea Water • Contributes ‘Life Pack’ lubricant performance where protection against moisture and road-splash is required • High speed operation • Wide temperature protection • ASTM rust resistance • Salt water protection • Sealed-for-life bearing applications Selected specification standards include: DIN FAG ISO Koyo Lincoln Motors NMB NSF NSK NTN Reliance Electric Company Toshiba International U.S. Motors Division of Emerson Electric Company SRI Grease NLGI 2 High performance high temperature roller and ball bearing grease Product highlights SRI Grease NLGI 2 ─ Continued © 2012 Chevron Products UK Limited. On units where horsepower and load are considered high on the roller element bearing, EP greases should be employed. In these instances, Black Pearl® Grease EP would be the grease of choice and is fully compatible with SRI Grease.
